This abstract series called seeking/finding, was made through the year 2022. It began as experimenting with larger format works on paper in water-based mediums including ink, gouache, and watercolors and what emerged is an expression that is rooted in memory, music, and stages of healing and recovery.

Arti Malik is a self-taught artist. She is drawn to abstractions in nature, being and things. She loves the medium of watercolours for its translucent quality that provides both spontaneity and control. When she is not making art, she is studying philosophy or working in the free library movement. Her works have appeared in RIC Journal and Aainagar in 2022. She lives and works in Noida, India.
